Before Yankee Group, he ran web marketing for Intranets.com, an early cloud-based provider of intranets for small business that is now part of Cisco. He also worked in several marketing and communications roles at EMC Corporation, where he was an early believer in the power of the web and pioneered customer and partner web communities. Mark started his career in broadcasting—as a producer and writer for legendary media figure Dick Clark at a New York-based radio network and running leading radio stations in New York state.
Mark occasionally lectures on marketing at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where he serves on the executive board of the Entrepreneurship Center. He has also served on the boards of WICN, a public radio station in Worcester, MA, and his town’s cable advisory board.
